Galvanized steel, thanks to their characteristics of slenderness, security and resistance is the most suitable material for the construction of doors and windows, which are produced in tubular cold-formed, drawn or profiled. SSS produces its own fixtures mainly using tubular sections, welded continuously, in ready to use materials or further refine by varnishing. The choice of this production technique is dictated by the need to obtain strength and workability levels not achievable with other processes and to ensure a level of quality of unparalleled finish. For total oxidation protection SSS the bars are galvanized according to the “Sendzimir” method. Unlike the hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing, mainly applied on drawn or cold-bent tubular, the “Sendzimir galvanization” takes place in a continuous tape by immersion in molten zinc. Therefore, it is performed on the tape and not on the tubular already formed, the process ensures: external protection and especially inside the tubular, correct thickness of zinc such as to improve the welding, avoiding toxic fumes and cracking, better protection thanks to colorless chromating which avoids phenomena sulfation.
